Getting confused
with all the solid wood flooring on the market?
With the growing awareness of environmental protection,
solid wood flooring gradually becomes the preferred choice of floor decoration. However, with thousands of solid wood flooring products on the market, how can a regular customer choose the right ones?
What?
Solid wood flooring is milled from a single piece of timber that is kiln or air dried before sawing. Depending on the desired look of the floor, the timber can be cut in three ways: flat-sawn, quarter-sawn, and rift-sawn. The timber is cut to the desired dimensions and either packed unfinished for a site-finished installation or finished at the factory. The moisture content at time of manufacturing is carefully controlled to ensure the product doesn’t warp during transport and storage.
Why?
Sound Insulation
Solid wood flooring has hard texture and compact fiber structure. It works better than concrete, tiles and steel in sound insulation.
Humidity Adjustment
Solid wood flooring is a life product. When saying ‘life’ we mean this product breathes to release the internal moisture when the condition is too dry and absorbs moisture from air when it is humid. By breathing, solid wood flooringcan adjust the air humidity to the most comfortable for human body. Scientific research indicates that life can be lengthened by 10 years living in wood house on long term basis. Warm in winter and cool in summer In winter, the temperature on the surface of solid wood flooring is 8℃~10℃ higher than the surface of tiles. In summer, temperature of room with solid wood flooring is 2℃~3℃ lower than the room with tiles.
Eco-friendly
Solid wood flooring is made of natural wood from primeval forest without the coating of volatile wear-resistant paint. It is totally eco-friendly from material and coating. This is the only 100 percent eco-friendly floor decorates material.
Unique
We all know that each tree has its own texture which means you can’t find two trees that look exactly alike. As a result, every piece of solid wood flooring is unique on the world. Nobody else will get the same as you do. Durable Solid wood flooring has a thicker wear surface and can be sanded and finished more times than other types. It has the life of tens or even hundreds years if
used properly. It is not uncommon for homes in New England, Eastern Canada and Europe which are several hundred years old to have the original solid wood flooring still in use today.
